Clareville Complex & Wairarapa A&P Society
Clareville Complex, home to the Wairarapa A&P Society and the Springtime A&P Show, kicks off the show season on 1st , 2nd and 3rd November 2019. This will be our 142nd annual show. Competitors, exhibitors and Trade Site holders travel from near and far to attend our show and take advantage of the superb facilities of our rural Showgrounds. We have a great line up of entertainment for the everyone of all ages. This is definitely an A&P Show you do not want to miss.
Wairarapa A&P Showgrounds is set in 85 acres of landscaped grounds in the heart of the Wairarapa countryside. Located in the Carterton District we are bordered by the Tararua Ranges to the west, pristine coastline in the east and boundried by the Waiohine and Waingawa Rivers. Clareville is just over an hour from Wellington and Palmerston North and 5 minutes from the Carterton Township.
You will find Wairarapa A&P Showgrounds easily by following State Highway 2 north of Carterton for 3kms before turning into Chester Road. The Complex has a large visual presence and you can't help but notice what is going on there as you drive past. At the complex there are a wide range of facilities including an Indoor Stadium, halls, club rooms, plenty of sporting facilities, cross country course and clubs that utilise the grounds.
Within the Complex we have landscaped grounds with an ornamental pond complete with ducks and tables for picnics. We also have a campground on site complete with toilet an shower block, kitchen and laundry. Once at the complex you are centrally located to the Carterton Golf Course, Awaiti Gardens, award winning Clareville Bakery, Clareville Plant Nursery, Sylkenwood Picture Framers & Art supplies and some of New Zealand's finest wineries are just down the road.
